The ICC T20 World Cup is generally held every two years, bringing together the best cricket nations to compete in the shortest international format. Since its inception in 2007, the tournament has been hosted across multiple continents.
Notably, no host nation has ever won the T20 World Cup. The most recent edition in 2024 was hosted by the USA and West Indies, with India claiming the title. Joint hosting arrangements have become increasingly common, with future tournaments planned for India & Sri Lanka (2026), Australia & New Zealand (2028), and England, Ireland & Scotland (2030).
