Tumbling was a gymnastics event at the 1932 Olympic Games. Here is a video of the only Olympic Champion, Rowland "Flip" Wolfe of the United States, demonstrating some of his tumbling routines. His key move was the backflip with a double twist. He became the youngest ever male Olympic gymnastics champion – he was 17 years and 307 days old.

There was a Swedish Ling Gymnastics demonstration at the 1948 Olympic Games. Unfortunately, the video I had of it is no longer available. Here is another video of some Swedish women from the same year giving a demonstration. You can see where the opening ceremony has evolved from.

Usain Bolt World Record 100m at Beijing Olympics
October 19th, 2009 · No Comments · Athletics
At the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt broke the world record in the 100m with a time of 9.69 seconds. It was just unbelievable how he burst away from the rest of the field, but a pity he eased up and maybe missed out on a few milliseconds. Anyway, a year later he broke the record again with a run of 9.58 seconds. Unfortunately the IOC block the showing of their video on other sites, so you only see still images and commentary here.
