How to Improve Your Attractiveness With Sports

Most of us plan on finding a “forever partner,” but often, it seems easier for some guys (and gals) than it does for others. If you find yourself chasing after potential partners but never quite able to catch them, it might be worthwhile to take a look at your lifestyle. Is it possible that physical fitness has anything to do with that? We think so: here’s why!

Does Being Fit Increase Your Chances of Finding a Partner?

Being Healthy is Attractive

The science is in folks, and the results speak volumes. As you probably could have guessed, being physically fit is attractive! Multiple studies have confirmed that this is the case, but if you think about your own personal preferences, chances are, you most likely are after a fit partner. Of course, individual preferences will vary from person to person, but in general, it seems like most people prefer an in-shape partner.

Physical appearance is something that you can & can’t change. For example, you can’t change how your face looks (excluding surgery), but you can easily change your physique by incorporating a workout routine into your life. This is great news for men, who tend to struggle to find partners more than their female counterparts. So what do women prefer? As expected, muscles instantly increase physical attractiveness, but the location is key. Most females want a partner who has a muscular upper body, which means taking a trip to the gym could be well worth your while!

Having Muscles Can Help: from Casual Dates to Long-Term Relationships

While being in shape below the belt is certainly beneficial for your overall health, the biggest romantic gains will come from upper-body development. Interestingly, women tend to find muscles that are harder to build (such as abs, biceps, and triceps) over ones that are easier to build. However, that doesn’t mean you should let any particular muscle go. Instead, shoot for an all-out in-shape look to reach your maximum attractiveness!

Regardless of what type of relationship you’re looking for, having muscles will help you achieve these goals. It would even be easier on the online dating sites where one can post a half-naked picture with all the gains they’ve had after frequenting the gym! Whether you’re after a local hookup or a long-term romantic relationship, having a muscular upper body can help you attract more potential partners. Tightly fit closes, and pictures with good light simply will do the job of making you an interesting dating prospect. Just make sure to keep yourself in shape, even after you get the girl! Although most women won’t leave their partner simply because they lost a little muscle mass, getting overweight or severely obese could contribute to the early demise of your relationship(s).

Fitness Equals Longevity Equals Attractiveness as a Long-Term Partner

Although less talked (and consciously thought) about, there is another benefit to staying in shape: you’ll live longer! This actually makes you much more attractive as a partner, especially in the romantic sense, since it means that your dating partner won’t have to worry about you passing prematurely. Most people who decide to “tie the knot” don’t think about the longevity of their partner initially, but as they age, it becomes more present in their minds. Many older couples worry about the passing of their partner: how will they manage once they’re gone? By getting (and staying) in shape, you can help alleviate your partner’s potential worries while also improving your overall quality of life.

From Theory to Practice

This all sounds good and great, but there’s a big difference between talking about something versus actually getting up and doing it. Is fitness a commitment that you’re ready to make? If so, the sections below will surely help! If you’re new to the world of physical fitness and are feeling a bit apprehensive, don’t worry: you don’t need to jump into the deep end right away. In fact, overexerting yourself from the start could cause unnecessary injuries and actually hurt your overall physical fitness! We recommend starting with an easier routine and increasing the workload over time, taking care to listen to your body (and make adjustments as necessary) throughout the entire process.

How to Boost Your Stamina

When it comes to getting in shape, most guys instantly think of gaining muscle and bulking up. Although there are certainly benefits to this approach, it focuses primarily on lifting more weight for fewer reps. If you’re a complete beginner, it’s much better to work on boosting your stamina before attempting to add more weight to your routine.

While you can boost your stamina in a specific task by performing a particular exercise, you should be doing cardio to boost your overall stamina. Cardio covers any exercise that is performed continuously throughout the entire workout, such as jogging, running, or using an exercise bike. Many men don’t think that cardio is a worthwhile investment since it primarily tones (rather than builds) muscle. However, if you plan on maintaining an active dating life (and sex life especially), then cardio exercises play a key in your plan. The more stamina you gain via cardio, the longer you’ll be able to go in the bedroom!

The Importance of Eating Healthy

Whether you’re trying to work on your stamina or build muscle, what you choose to eat can greatly help (or hurt) your progress. Although it can be tempting (and tasty!) to maintain a diet that consists primarily of pop, pizza, and microwave meals, you’ll see much better results if you can commit to a balanced diet. This means including all of the five food groups (fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy) in your daily meals.

Truthfully, the idea of “going on a diet” isn’t very appealing. Fortunately, as long as your diet includes all of the major food groups, you’ll have a nearly unlimited number of options when it comes to preparing your next meal. However, creating a diet from scratch and seeing successful results might be a bit overwhelming for complete beginners. If that’s the case, we recommend looking at different nutritional diet options to find one that’s right for you.

Sports Could Be Your New Hobby

Unless you’re a competitive person, playing sports most likely isn’t an activity that’s followed you into your adult years. Competitions can get pretty intense, and for all but the most dedicated athletes, the commitment required to see success hardly seems worth the effort. Still, we highly recommend giving sports another try, but with one important twist: play with your friends!

It’s easy to get burnt out if you’re constantly competing for the top title, but by treating sports as a leisure activity (not a competitive activity), you’re much more likely to stick with it. The atmosphere you’re playing in will greatly influence your dedication—or lack thereof—to playing sports, so only play in groups & with people whose company you genuinely enjoy.

How Much Can You Lift?

If you want to gain muscle mass, then strength training is a necessary evil. To get started, you’ll first need to establish a baseline, and that means heading to the gym (or using your own equipment) to see how much you can lift. Multiple experts recommend limiting yourself to eight reps per set for muscle mass gains. With that in mind, choose an exercise (such as bench presses, curls, or squats) and figure out how much weight you can complete a maximum of eight reps/three sets with. Keep this number in mind: you’ll be using it the next time you work out! Once you can easily make it through all three sets, add some additional weight to your routine.

Establishing a Daily Workout Routine

If you’re serious about getting & staying in shape, then you’ll want to set a daily workout routine. Expert opinions vary, but in general, you should try to do cardio two or three times a week. For gaining muscle mass, stick to a particular group of muscles each day and make sure not to work out the same group of muscles two days in a row. Giving your muscles time to rest will help aid their growth!

Getting healthy & staying fit is always hard in the beginning, but over time, your new workout routine will become second nature. Remember, the longer you stick with it, the easier it will be. Turning yourself into an attractive person and an eye candy everyone wants to take on a date takes time, so don’t waste a minute: set up a daily workout regimen today!
