The FIFAe World Cup is an annual international esports tournament organized by FIFA using simulated football play. From 2018 to 2020 it was called the FIFA eWorld Cup, and before that, it was called the FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC). A football simulation tournament has been held every year since 2004 (except in 2007). Like the real world World Cup, this event features intense competition, large audiences, and significant prize money.
Prior to 2024, the FIFAe World Cup involved competitions using the latest version of the Association Football FIFA video game platform. After the release of FIFA 23, FIFA and EA Sports parted ways, with FIFA discontinuing their licensing agreement with EA Sports. From 2024 onwards, the FIFAe World Cup involves a Rocket League tournament, consisting of national teams, and also a Football Manager tournament, known as the "FIFAe World Cup of Football Manager".
EA Sports has organized its own major competition using its EA Sports FC game, the successor to FIFA, called the EA Sports FC Pro World Championship.

The World Cup
The FIFAe World Cup mirrors the FIFA World Cup by bringing together top competitors from around the globe to compete for the title of world champion. Both tournaments feature intense, high-stakes matches and attract significant global audiences.
The inaugural event took place in 2004 in Switzerland. The tournament has grown significantly since then, with millions of players signing up in recent years.
The FIFAe World Cup follows a multi-stage format with qualifying rounds, group stages, and knockout rounds leading to a grand final. Players compete individually or represent clubs and countries, aiming to advance through the stages by winning matches.
To participate in the FIFA eWorld Cup, players must first qualify through a series of regional and global online qualifiers. These qualifiers often require players to achieve a high rank in the online divisions or win specific regional tournaments.
