The current NBA MVP betting odds reveal Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to be the overwhelming favorite. Even at his longest odds of -450 at bet365, the Thunder’s star shooting guard has an 81.8% chance of being crowned the regular season MVP for the 2nd successive season.
FanDuel tends to price the underdogs more favorably, including the Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama. His longest odds of +400 imply just a 20.0% win probability, but he started the campaign priced at +1800 (5.3%) and helped his team to compile a 27-2 record (.931) since January 31st.
Then there’s the Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic, who has won 3 NBA MVP awards since 2021. His shortest odds of +5000 imply just a 2.0% win probability, but the center has only made 61 appearances to date and remains 4 short of reaching the 65-game eligibility criteria.
However, the Basketball Reference NBA MVP Award Tracker affords Jokic a 59.6% probability of winning the 2025/26 award, compared to just 29.1% for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He’s also averaging a career-high 27.7 PPG this season, so the actual odds of him winning may be much higher than the odds imply.
The NBA MVP Race Current Frontrunners
The NBA MVP race now includes 3 realistic contenders, namely Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokic. We’re going to analyze each one of these contenders in more detail below, factoring in key performance statistics, underlying narratives and insight from the NBA’s official Kia MVP Ladder rankings.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Between week 13 and week 22, Gilgeous-Alexander was ranked 1st on the official Kia MVP Ladder. The shooting guard has already met the 65-game eligibility criteria for the season, while his PPG average of 31.6 is 6.3 points higher than his career average. It’s also only marginally lower than last season’s PPG average of 32.7.
Otherwise, Joel Embiid (33.1 in 2023) is the only NBA MVP winner to record a PPG average since 2014. Gilgeous-Alexander’s field goal percentage is also up 4.3 points to 55.1% when compared to his career stats, while he’s averaging a higher number of assists too.
These statistics make for a compelling case, as does the fact that he has played a seminal role in the Thunder’s form in 2025/26. Oklahoma have compiled a superb 61-16 (.790) record in the Western Conference this season, while they retain a 90.3% chance of being seeded 1st in the playoffs (and lead the NBA playoff odds).
However, Gilgeous-Alexander was surpassed as number 1 on the Kia MVP Ladder in week 23, as rival Victor Wembanyama took his place. What’s more, the Basketball Reference MVP Award Tracker only affords SGA a 29.1% win probability. However, this predictive model is built primarily on previous voting results and trends.
Victor Wembanyama
The all-action Victor Wembanyama started the season priced at +1800 to win the regular season MVP, but his odds have continued to shorten incrementally throughout the campaign. His ascent to number 1 on the Kia MVP ladder in week 23 marked a significant peak in public betting volumes too.
Wembanyama is averaging 24.7 PPG so far this season, while he ranks 5th for rebounds in 2025/26 (11.5). His defensive work is also supreme, with his average of 3.1 blocks-per-game significantly higher than anyone else in the NBA (Chet Holmgren is his closest challenger with 1.8 BPG).
Since March 12th, Wembanyama has also scored 275 points in 10 matches at a rate of 27.5 PPG. This form has helped to propel the Spurs in the Western Conference, with their record of 59-18 (.764) including 11 successive wins and second only to the Thunder. San Antonio retains a 90.3% chance of being seeded 2nd in the playoffs too.
However, Wembanyama was rested last time out against the Clippers, due to a minor ankle injury. This could yet derail his late charge in the MVP market, while the Basketball Reference model only affords the 22-year-old a 2.6% chance of winning. Remember, FanDuel’s odds of +400 imply a 20.0% win probability.
Nikola Jokic
Among our NBA MVP favorites, the Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic has the longest odds of +10000 with FanDuel, theScore BET and BetRivers. However, he’s priced as low as +5000 (2.0%) with bet365, while the Basketball Reference MVP Tracker affords Jokic a 59.6% chance of claiming a 4th MVP award in just 6 years.
Of course, the Basketball Reference model is based on past voting results, so this probability must be considered cautiously. There’s also a potential risk of fatigue surrounding the Jokic narrative, while he has also missed 16 regular season games. This has directly impacted his odds, as he needs to appear in 4 of the last 5 games to be eligible.
However, there’s no doubt that the actual probability of Jokic winning is higher than the current odds imply. Firstly, this season’s PPG average of 27.7 is higher than in any of the years when Jokic previously won the MVP, while his tally of 10.8 APG is also a career high.
Jokic is also outperforming all of his key career statistics in 2025/26, including field goal percentage (57.2% vs 56.1%) and total rebounds per game (13.0 vs 11.1). So, he may represent a viable outside pick, especially when you consider his consistency this season and real-time odds.
Complete List of NBA MVP Candidates
Below, we’ve provided an at-a-glance comparison of the leading 8 NBA MVP candidates. This includes each player’s best odds and probability data, while we’ve also included the latest media straw poll conducted on April 3rd.
This canvassed the opinion of 100 media members, who ranked Gilgeous-Alexander as the most likely winner. Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokic completed a predictable top 3, while the Celtics’ Jaylen Brown was the only player outside of this group to be picked as potential winner. This is important as the MVP is decided by a media vote.
We’ve also included key betting insights for each player, based primarily on the current odds and their implied probability values.
Victor Wembanyama is arguably the best-value pick given his recent form and how significantly his odds have shortened since the beginning of the campaign, but the true probability of Nikola Jokic triumphing are much higher than his current price implies. So, he’s by far the highest value outside pick.
| Player (Team) | Best Odds (Probability) | Basketball Reference Probability | Kia MVP Ladder (April 3rd) | Media Straw Poll (April 3rd) | Betting Insight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder) | -450 (81.8%) | 29.1% | #2 | #1 | A strong betting favorite who plays for the best team |
| Victor Wembanyama (Spurs) | +400 (20.0%) | 2.6% | #1 | #2 | A value pick with strong momentum and all-round game |
| Nikola Jokic (Nuggets) | +10000 (1.0%) | 59.6% | #3 | #3 | A consistent performer and high value outside pick |
| Jaylen Brown (Celtics) | +50000 (0.2%) | 0.4% | #5 | #5 | Ranks 5th for scoring and is the best value longshot |
| Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers) | +50000 (0.2%) | 0.2% | #9 | #7 | A lower value longshot for the Eastern Conference 4th seeds |
| Kawhi Leonard (Clippers) | +10000 (0.1%) | 0.2% | #8 | #6 | A low-value longshot pick who has yet to secure a playoff spot with the Clippers |
| Jalen Brunson (Knicks) | +10000 (0.1%) | 0.2% | #11 | #8 | A low-value longshot who has slipped down the Kia Rankings |
| Luka Doncic (Lakers) | +10000 (0.1%) | 4.2% | #4 | #4 | Averages 39.5 PPG over his last 11 games but his odds have been impacted by injury |
NBA MVP Ladder Ranking the Top Candidates
We’ve already touched on the Kia NBA MVP ladder, which is updated weekly and ranks the top 10 contenders in order. Below, you’ll find a summary of the current top 5 and why they’re ranked so highly, while we’ll also explore any significant deviation from the current MVP betting markets.
1. Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs
-
Conference Standing: #2 (Eastern Conference)
-
Games Left: 5 (4-1)
Up from number 3 in week 22, Wembanyama continues to produce career-best performances both in offense and defense. He has produced 17 blocks in his last 3 games and averages 3.1 BPG this season, while he’s also recorded 11.2 RPG.
His surge in form has coincided with the Spurs’ 27-2 run since the end of January. This is the 1st week in which he has appeared at number 1 this season, but he remains 2nd in the betting odds thanks in part to his low playing time average of under 30 minutes per night. If this increases, he may have a stronger case for winning the award.
2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder
-
Conference Standing: #1 (Western Conference)
-
Games Left: 5 (4-1)
Gilgeous-Alexander lost his number 1 Kia ranking after 9 consecutive weeks, but his current PPG average of 31.6 would still be the 3rd-highest of any regular season MVP winner since 2014.
He’s also outperforming his career field goal percentage, while averaging the fewest turnovers per game by a 30+ point scorer. This highlights his peerless consistency and efficiency, while his tally of 30 or more points in 41 regular season games also helps to justify his status as betting favorite.
3. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets
-
Conference Standing: #4 (Western Conference)
-
Games Left: 5 (3-2)
3-time MVP Jokic rose from 4th to 3rd in the most recent Kia rankings, while he continues to drive the Nuggets as they push to become the 3rd seed in the Western Conference. Despite his distant betting odds, his current PPG average of 27.7 is a career-high (including the 3 campaigns in which he was crowned MVP).
Currently, Jokic is on course to become the 1st player to lead the NBA in rebounds and assists in the same season. He’s also poised to finish in the top 6 for scoring, so he retains significant value as an outside MVP pick with a nominal stake amount.
4. Luka Doncic, Los Angeles Lakers
-
Conference Standing: #3 (Western Conference)
-
Games Left: 5 (3-2)
Doncic slipped from number 2 in week 23, but he remains this season’s top scorer in the NBA with an average of 33.5 PPG. In March alone, he registered 1 60-point game, 1 50-point game and 3 40-point outings, while he averaged an incredible 39.5 PPG during his last 11 games.
His defensive performances have even improved of late, with Doncic averaging 2.5 steals during the previous 11 matches. He has helped the Lakers to go 8-2 and reach 3rd in the Western Conference during this sequence, but a recent hamstring injury may have ruled him out of contention.
5. Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics
-
Conference Standing: #2 (Eastern Conference)
-
Games Left: 6 (4-2)
Jaylen Brown is the only Eastern Conference player in the top 5, with the shooting guard having averaged 28.6 points, 7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game in the absence of the talismanic Jayson Tatum.
He remains joint 4th for scoring this season, while there’s some synergy between his Kia ranking and standing among the best NBA MVP betting sites. At a best price of +5000, he has just a 0.2% chance of being MVP, but this is lower than his Basketball Reference probability (0.4%). He can therefore be considered as a high value longshot pick.

NBA MVP Predictions and Expert Analysis
Only 10 times in NBA history has the regular season MVP been won by a player on a team lower than the 2nd seed in their respective conference. This has only happened once since the turn of the century too, with Russell Westbrook the last to achieve the feat in 2017.
Interestingly, this result was influenced by a strong media narrative, as Westbrook averaged a triple double during the regular season despite representing the 6th seeds.
This highlights how media favorites and narratives can impact the final results, with first-time winner Gilgeous-Alexander also benefitting from favorable reporting ahead of the seasoned Jokic in 2026. However, the winner is still overwhelmingly likely to come from a top-2 seed, with this trend favoring Gilgeous-Alexander, Wembanyama and Jaylen Brown at present.
Our MVP Prediction for 2025/26
In addition to playing for likely Western Conference top seed Oklahoma, current MVP Gilgeous-Alexander continues to benefit from favorable media coverage. In the recent straw poll of 100 key media members, 88 voted for SGA as their preferred MVP winner (88.0%). All 100 votes placed Gilgeous-Alexander in the top 3.
Currently, the Thunder’s win percentage of .787 is the 25th highest in a single NBA season. It could improve before the end of the campaign too, with this consistency and quality of team performances known to influence the media. SGA’s PPG stats are also above average for MVP winners during the previous decade.
Wembanyama will curry favor as a potential first-time winner, while his all-round game is widely appreciated across all media. However, just 8 media members selected him as their MVP winner this season (8.0%), while 63 voted him into 2nd place.
Overall, our NBA MVP prediction is that Gilgeous-Alexander will prevail and be crowned the league’s most valuable player for the 2nd consecutive year. Although Victor Wembanyama is a strong value pick whose price continues to fall, the case for SGA is incredibly strong and backed by media sentiment.
NBA MVP Betting Strategy and Tips
Backing the NBA MVP is an example of a futures market, where odds are first published during the preseason and not settled until the end of the campaign. This means that your capital is tied up for an extended period of time (unlike NBA spread betting), so it’s important that you wager as strategically as possible.
- Time Your Wager – Overall, the best time to engage in NBA MVP betting is during the preseason. This is especially true when backing favorites, with SGA priced as high as +160 when the odds were first published. A $100 bet placed at this time would yield a potential profit of $160.00. Conversely, wagering now at optimal odds of -450 will deliver a maximum profit of just $22.22. Wembanyama was priced between +1000 and +1800 prior to the regular season.
- The Impact of Hedging – At their best odds, the combined implied probability of SGA or Wembanyama winning the 2025/26 MVP award is 101.8%. So, if you’ve already backed Gilgeous-Alexander to win at preseason odds of +160, you could hedge this initial wager by backing Wembanyama at +400 with a $32.00 stake. This will deliver a guaranteed profit of at least $28.00.
- Commit No More Than 2-5% of Your Bankroll – Our implied probability calculator should also be used to identify the best value odds and stakes. This can help with effective bankroll management, while you should only commit between 2% and 5% of your available funds to any singles futures bets. This prevents too much of your capital from being tied up at any one time.
How to Bet NBA MVP Futures?
To successfully bet NBA MVP futures, you’ll first need to register with at least 1 of our recommended sportsbooks. You can then browse the available markets and odds while engaging in line shopping. Here’s a brief step-by-step guide to getting started with NBA futures betting.
Step 1. Create an Account With a Licensed Book
Check the availability of licensed sportsbooks in your state, before choosing one and opening an account. You can then verify the information provided using a driver’s license, passport or the final 4 digits of your SSN.
Step 2. Browse MVP Markets
Next, navigate to NBA via the vertical menu that runs down the left-hand side of the sportsbook, before selecting Futures, Awards and MVP.
Step 3. Pick your Candidate
Now, browse the candidates and their odds while using these as a reference for line shopping. Once you’re happy, click on your preferred betting line to have it populate your bet slip.
Step 4. Enter your Stake and Hit Confirm Bet
Finally, confirm your stake amount based on the size of your bankroll, odds and their implied probability value. You can then hit Confirm and place your bet.
In terms of how to bet on NBA, you should also understand futures market settlement terms. Although the criteria for MVP bets can vary from 1 book to the next, wagers will usually be graded as a loss if your pick is injured midseason or gets traded to an inferior team. To have futures betting explained further, understand that early cashout options may be available depending on the sportsbook.
Available NBA MVP Markets and Settlement Rules
At most sportsbooks, you’ll find a number of alternative NBA MVP betting markets. These include the following:
- NBA Finals MVP – This is separate to the regular season award, and given to the most valuable player in the NBA finals series. Only 1 historic winner here has prevailed after playing for the losing side.
- MVP Season Props – Available at books like DraftKings and bet365, these markets (similar to NBA player props) let you wager on which players will come top for key performance metrics during the regular season, such as points scored, assists and rebounds.
- Conference MVPs – At DraftKings, you’ll be able to bet on the regular season MVP for both the Western and Eastern conferences. Most action here takes place in the Western Conference, where Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama, Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic (Lakers) all ply their trade.
When exploring these NBA futures betting markets, you can wager as little as $0.10 per bet at BetMGM, DraftKings, bet365 and Fanatics. This is an important consideration, especially if you want to back longshots with as small a stake as possible.
Best NBA MVP Bets and Value Picks
We’ve already offered our expert NBA MVP prediction for this season. However, there are alternative MVP wagers that you can place, some of which may offer value that’s higher than the current odds imply. Here’s a concise summary of the best NBA MVP bets that fit this bill, based on expected value and true probability data.
- Back Nikola Jokic as a Longshot Pick – Jokic is on course for a record-setting season, as he continues to top the NBA for rebounds and assists in the same campaign. A 3-time MVP winner, Basketball Reference affords him a 59.6% chance of triumphing again in 2025/26, even though his longest odds of +10000 imply just a 1.0% win probability. A $1 stake at these odds delivers a positive EV of +$0.01 over several bet iterations.
- Consider Jaylen Brown as a Potential Outsider Too – Jaylen Brown is another potential longshot, especially with the Celtics retaining a 95.1% probability of being the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference. He ranks joint-4th for scoring this season, while Basketball Reference affords him a higher win probability than his current odds imply. A $2 stake at odds of +5000 creates a positive EV of +$0.04 over time, creating potential value in a challenging market.
- Increase your Stake When Backing SGA – Of course, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s best odds imply an 81.8% chance of success, but some sportsbooks are affording him an 86.7% win probability. So, backing him with an increased stake can also maximize value, especially if you’re willing to bet $100+. In this case, a $100 stake at odds of -450 produces a positive EV of +$0.22 over a series of bets, while a single wager would deliver a $22.22 profit.
Historical NBA MVP Odds Results
The starting NBA MVP odds in 2026 aren’t always a reliable indicator of future outcomes. In fact, less than 50% of starting MVP favorites have gone on to win the award, while this has happened just once in the previous 5 seasons (20.0%).
In fact, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the 3rd favorite in 2025/26, while Nikola Jokic won his 1st MVP award having been initially priced at a distant +2000 (4.8%). Below, you’ll find a summary of the previous 5 winners and their MVP odds, alongside their team and the position that they play.
| Year | Player | Team | Position | Starting Odds (Probability) | Favorite |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024/25 | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | Thunder | Shooting Guard | +550 (15.4%) | No |
| 2023/24 | Nikola Jokic | Nuggets | Center | +400 (20.0%) | Yes |
| 2022/23 | Joel Embiid | 76ers | Center | +625 (13.8%) | No |
| 2021/22 | Nikola Jokic | Nuggets | Center | +1500 (6.3%) | No |
| 2020/21 | Nikola Jokic | Nuggets | Center | +2000 (4.8%) | No |
NBA Award Odds Beyond MVP
The MVP is just 1 of several NBA award odds categories, which are all settled at the end of the regular season. Here’s a brief summary:
- Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) – This award is given to the NBA’s best defensive player, with the Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama the overwhelming favorite at -10000 with FanDuel. Although the center is also a potential MVP pick, just 3 players have won both of these awards in the same season.
- Rookie of the Year (ROY) – This award is given to the best-performing debutant in the NBA. Usually, the top draft picks in the NBA draft are favored preseason, but the current favorite Kon Knueppel was drafted 4th in the summer of 2025. He can be backed at -350 with FanDuel and has a 77.8% win probability.
- Sixth Man of the Year (6MOY) – This award is given to the best performing player from the bench during an NBA season. To qualify, a player must come off the bench in more games than he starts during the regular season. Keldon Johnson is the current favorite at -305 with DraftKings (77.8%), with the small forward averaging 13.0 points and 23.2 minutes per game in 2025/26.
- Most Improved Player (MIP) – The MIP award is awarded to an up-and-coming performer who has improved dramatically since the previous season. The selection is largely stats driven and requires analysis across the current and last campaigns. Timberwolves player Nickeil Alexander-Walker is the current favorite at -150 (60.0%) with DraftKings, having improved his PPG, APG and RPG numbers in 2025/26.
- Coach of the Year (COTY) – The Pistons’ J.B. Bickerstaff is the favorite to be crowned coach of the year, at odds of -230 (69.7%) with FanDuel. The last 15 winners have seen their teams average 57.7 wins during the regular season, with the Eastern Conference top seeds having gone 57-21 (.731) so far in this campaign.

BetMGM stands out in the NBA MVP futures market through its Lion’s Boost promotions, which regularly enhance odds on popular MVP candidates. Their integration with MGM Rewards means every MVP futures wager earns loyalty points redeemable at MGM resort properties, making them the strongest choice for bettors who want their futures action to generate additional value. Qualifying MVP lines will also receive Lion’s Boosts, which enhanced odds by between 10% and 15% during the course of our BetMGM review.
-
Lion’s Boosts regularly enhance MVP futures odds, frequently boosting top candidates by 10-20%
-
MGM Rewards integration earns hotel, dining, and entertainment credits on every MVP bet placed

Lion’s Boost Promotions for MVP Futures
BetMGM’s Lion’s Boost program targets high-profile futures markets, and the NBA MVP race is a regular beneficiary. During peak MVP conversation periods, the site frequently runs boosted odds on the top 3-5 candidates. These boosts typically improve the payout by 10-20% compared to the standard line. Boosts are available on a first-come basis and have maximum stake limits, usually between $25 and $50.
BetMGM Mobile Experience
The BetMGM iOS app is highly rated, with an average score of 4.8/5 from over 254K reviews. As with FanDuel, it takes just 3 taps to access MVP lines, while available Lion’s Boosts are published just beneath the horizontal menu on the app’s homepage.
The sportsbook app offers extensive bet tracking for all open positions, including MVP and futures picks. As you continue to place NBA MVP bets and unlock rewards, you can even track your earning status via integration with the MGM Rewards app. There’s also an Edit My Bet feature, which is available on all live wagers and allows you to add or swap parlay legs or increase your stake amounts.
The Android app has a much lower average score of 4.0/5 (from 39.5K+ reviews). Although this has been aggregated from a smaller number of reviews, there appear to be issues with accessing the app on older devices. There’s also a Reddit thread that discusses random app crashes on the Android operating system.

DraftKings is the only major US sportsbook that presents all NBA award futures on a single, navigable page. Bettors can view MVP, ROY, DPOY, 6MOY, MIP, and Coach of the Year odds side by side without navigating between separate markets. The site also tends to be the 1st book to publish NBA Finals MVP odds.
DraftKings is also an official NBA betting partner. This contributes to a broader selection of betting markets and competitive pricing via data integration.
DraftKings Mobile Experience
Alongside FanDuel, DraftKings is the highest rated NBA MVP betting app on the market. This applies across both operating systems too, with the iOS app earning an average rating of 4.8/5 from 984K+ reviews, and Android scoring 4.7/5 from 224K+ reviews.
Navigating from the app’s home page to all available MVP markets is quick and easy at DraftKings. Simply click through NBA, Futures and Awards to access all awards categories on a single page. As we’ve touched on, the app is the quickest to publish new MVP markets and odds updates. This means that the sportsbook often offers optimal value, especially if you intend to wager early and proactively via the app.
While the brand’s app reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some recurring complaints about credit card deposits have been raised via Reddit. This has prevented some bettors from being able to access bonuses and is most prevalent on Android devices.

The Caesars sportsbook regularly offers consistently competitive NBA MVP and awards odds. What’s more, selected MVP odds benefit from frequent boosts too, which can range between 10% and 15% on average. Their Caesars Rewards integration provides NBA-specific perks making it the top choice for bettors who want the best possible price on their MVP pick combined with a world-class loyalty program.

Aggressive Futures Pricing Strategy
Caesars consistently offers better odds on MVP favorites compared to the industry average. Their pricing model for futures tends to carry less juice than competitors, particularly on short-priced candidates. The sportsbook also tends to be slower to shorten odds on emerging candidates, creating windows of value for bettors who act quickly.
Caesars’ current welcome bonus is also applicable to futures and MVP bets. This unlocks 10 x 100% profit boost tokens, when you stake $1+ at standard odds of -10,000 or longer. The profit boost tokens have similar terms and can be used to boost MVP bet profits up to $2,500.
Caesars Mobile Experience
Through the Caesars mobile app (iOS App Rating: 4.7/5 from 101K+ reviews; Android App Rating: 4.6/5 from 33.5K+ reviews), you’ll be able to access the broadest selection of Push Notification settings. Just access your device settings to accept updates from the app, and you’ll receive everything from bet results and odds boosts to exclusive mobile bonuses and rewards.
Once again, it takes 3 clicks to access NBA MVP markets from the homepage. This main app page also features the brand’s Parlay Hub, which unlocks a number of prebuilt combination bets featuring MVP and awards markets.
The sportsbook’s average score drops slightly on Android when compared to iOS. This is because of some reviews that report random but frequent app crashes, which can interrupt betting, tracking and rewards redemption.

BetRivers – Best for Loyalty Rewards

BetRivers is perhaps best known for its consistent and accessible rewards program. Via the iRush Rewards program, you can unlock rewards points on every single NBA futures wager that you place, with the earning rate varying from 1 wager type to another. For example, betting $10 on a straight MVP pick will unlock a single point. However, when building a 10+ leg parlay that includes awards-adjacent picks, it’s possible to earn 1 point for every $0.50 staked.

iRush Rewards Loyalty Program
BetRivers offers consistent NBA futures pricing too, especially across MVP and awards markets. For example, it was 1 of the 1st brands to lengthen Nikola Jokic’s odds to +10000 in 2025/26, while Celtics’ star Jaylen Brown can be backed at around +5000 with the sportsbook.
In most eligible states, BetRivers offers a 2nd chance bonus bet up to $100. This requires a minimum $10 deposit and qualifying wager at standard odds, and will refund your stake if the bet is settled as a loss. This bonus’s terms and conditions allow you to wager on virtually all NBA MVP and awards picks.
BetRivers Mobile Experience
The BetRivers mobile app (iOS: 4.9/5 from 37K+ reviews; Android: 4.7/5 from 15.5K+ reviews) has been integrated seamlessly with the iRush Rewards program, enabling you to review and track earnings as you wager. In terms of design, both the iOS and Android apps boast a similar design to the desktop site.
However, the horizontal sticky menu that runs along the bottom of the homepage is quite cluttered and packed full of icons, making it slightly difficult to navigate 1st time out (particularly on Android). The app bet slip design is both intuitive and different from the desktop version. This simplifies the process of building parlays and adding legs, enabling one-click betting in the process.

Payment Methods Comparison for NBA MVP Futures Betting

Withdrawals are also universally available via PayPal, with most transactions taking no more than 24 hours. However, sportsbooks like DraftKings and theScore BET often process PayPal withdrawals within 4 hours, while such transactions can take up to 2 business days at BetRivers.
Although our licensed books don’t apply transaction fees when processing withdrawals, PayPal charges a flat fee of 2.99% when accepting funds. This should be considered when choosing an available withdrawal method. Overall, DraftKings offers the optimal deposit and withdrawal experience, allowing you to withdraw a minimum of $1 and stake as little as $0.10 per bet.
Across all licensed sportsbooks, you’ll need to have a fully verified account before requesting a withdrawal. Frequently Asked Questions
Who will win the NBA MVP this season?
In terms of who will win the NBA MVP in 2025/26, the Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the overwhelming favorite to prevail. However, the Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama remains in contention, while the Nuggets’ center Nikola Jokic outperformed his rival when helping his side to overcome San Antonio recently. Although the odds imply an 81.8%+ probability of SGA winning, the award will ultimately be settled by a 3-way sprint in the final week.
What are the current NBA MVP odds?
The current odds make SGA the -450 (81.8%) favorite to win this season’s MVP award. Wembanyama can be backed at a best price of +400 at FanDuel, implying a 20.0% probability of a win for the defensive giant. 3-time winner Nikola Jokic remains a high value outside pick at odds as high as +10000, as he remains on course for a record-setting season. Celtics’ star Jaylen Brown also offers some value at odds starting from +50000, especially with Boston on course to become the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference.
How do you bet on the NBA MVP?
To engage in NBA MVP betting, you’ll first need to register for an account at a licensed US sportsbook. Then, navigate to the available MVP markets via the NBA and Futures tabs, before selecting your preferred candidate and stake amount. You can then confirm the bet and track this in real-time. BetMGM, DraftKings, bet365 and Fanatics all allow you to wager as little as $0.10 per bet too.
What is the 65-game rule for MVP eligibility?
When appraising all NBA MVP candidates, you must ensure that they’ve met or are able to meet the 65 regular-season game eligibility criteria. This dictates that eligible winners must have played at least 65 matches during the regular season. Currently, Nikola Jokic has made 62 appearances and remains 3 short of the benchmark with 4 games left, so he can only afford to miss 1 more match.
Where can I find the best NBA MVP betting odds?
The best NBA MVP betting odds are available consistently across FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM. Each 1 excels in different ways, with FanDuel offering the best value longshot odds and BetMGM pricing Eastern and Western Conference MVPs competitively. Across different books, MVP and awards odds can vary by between 10% and 20%, which is why line shopping is so important to maximizing value.
Can you cash out NBA MVP futures early?
Some sportsbooks allow for partial settlement on outstanding NBA MVP futures. Qualifying wagers will be afforded a real-time cashout value, which varies depending on performance, odds and implied probability values. At bet365, you can access full and partial cashout options on qualifying wagers, affording you greater control regardless of how your chosen market continues to move.
What NBA award odds are available besides MVP?
DraftKings, FanDuel and bet365 offer the broadest range of MVP adjacent awards markets. These include Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year, Most Improved Player, Coach of the Year, and Finals MVP. At FanDuel, each of these markets are listed on the same page, enabling you to browse odds quickly and efficiently.
How accurate are preseason NBA MVP odds?
Preseason NBA MVP odds are accurate just under 50% of the time, but only 1 player has triumphed as the opening favorite in the last 5 years (Nikola Jokic in 2024). The NBA MVP odds in 2026 had winner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the 3rd favorite, while Jokic triumphed despite a starting price of +2000 in 2021. So, it’s worth comparing the whole field and their odds before making a pick.
