Best Betting Sites by Feature
The best betting sites differ more on features than on odds. Best Odds Guaranteed pays the bigger starting price if your horse drifts. Most books here price no real horse racing, but Puntit has odds guaranteed on UK and Irish horse racing from 09:00 on race day, with no wagering attached.
Bet builders roll several football bets on one match into a single slip. Festival Play, RoyalistPlay, Inky.bet, Fanobet and TipTop all offer one, and Puntit’s Bet Builder+ stacks bet builders across matches. No book here publishes bet builder insurance, which refunds a builder that loses by one leg, usually as a free bet.
Every book on the list offers cash out, though Betibet limits it to certain markets. Partial cash out is available at Festival Play and RoyalistPlay, but not on bet builders or while a bonus is active.
Early payout is popular among football bettors. It settles winning pre-match football bets in full once a team leads by two goals. Festival Play offers this on selected leagues, while DiceSpin covers six leagues from the Premier League down.
In play betting is available at every book on the list, so live betting is everywhere. Streaming is less common. Puntit streams horse racing if you have a balance or a bet in the last 24 hours, DiceSpin displays a Streaming button without any detail, and no other site confirms a stream.

Football is the biggest betting market in Ireland, from Premier League football weekends to the Champions League, and a World Cup summer brings soccer betting to casual punters. Horse Racing Betting Sites
Irish horse racing takes place nearly every day, and on the big days you get each-way terms and extra places. The big names, BoyleSports and Paddy Power in particular, offer Best Odds Guaranteed on Irish horse racing. Horse racing betting is the area where most betting sites in Ireland on my list come up short. Virtual eHorse Racing is all you get at Inky.bet, Fanobet, TipTop and Hiperwin, while Betibet, Festival Play and RoyalistPlay list no horse racing markets whatsoever. For your football bets, then, pair Puntit with a book above.
GAA Betting Sites for Gaelic Football and Hurling
GAA betting runs from the Allianz Leagues in spring to the All-Ireland finals in July. GAA is the gap at many online sports betting sites. GAA betting sites are rare, even among the best betting sites. I read these markets with TopEndSports’ Gaelic football performance data since 1997. GAA.ie has the fixtures, and the GAA betting hub has gaelic football and hurling guides.

Only the two books with real racing carry greyhound betting, and neither guarantees Irish tracks, so for those the best greyhound betting sites are still the household names.

A free bet is a stake the book lends you: a winning €10 free bet at evens pays €10, not €20, because free bet stakes are never returned. So I value sports free bets at 70% to 80% of face, and since free bets expire fast, the odds window and qualifying bet settlement rules matter more than the headline.

Puntit’s free bets return profit only, and unused bonuses lapse after 7 days. Betibet keep OnlyWin free bets valid for 5 days at odds of 1.01 to 2.00, with a maximum free bet of €100 on the 10% top-up. A TipTop free bet needs odds of at least 1.80, capped at 2.50. Deposit Match Offers
Deposit matches hand over bonus cash rather than a free bet, and the wagering multiple is what decides their value. A €50 bonus at 10x the bonus means €500 of bets; at 5x deposit plus bonus, €20 plus €20 means €200 of qualifying bets.

Festival Play’s FESTIVAL500 match carries a 10x wagering requirement on the bonus at min odds 1.80, to be cleared within 21 days. Winnings are capped at five times the bonus, and cash out plus withdrawals are blocked during that period.

First bet refunds give you a second go if your initial bet loses, paid back as a free bet. None of the books on my list runs one on sport; the nearest are esports refunds at TipTop (Cyber Monday, minimum odds of 1.50) and Fanobet (Thursdays, 1.60 or better, up to €100, 3x wagering). Cashback is the honest version, paid as cash rather than a free bet: DiceSpin return 10% of daily sportsbook losses with no wagering, and Puntit 10% of weekly net losses of €50 or more every Friday.

Online betting sites offer two kinds of boost: extra on a winning acca, or a better price on one market. Festival Play’s Combo Booster adds 5% to 70% to pre-match accas, and their Enhanced Odds cover Match Result and To Win. DiceSpin, TipTop and Inky.bet climb to 100% on a 20-fold. Every boost has a maximum stake and a market list, so check both before you build a bet slip around one.
What the 2024 Act Changed
Under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) was established on 5 March 2025. Since 1 July 2026 sports betting operators taking remote bets from Ireland need a GRAI remote betting licence, and credit cards have been banned since 5 February 2026. The inducement rule (section 157) and the advertising rules are not yet in force, so the offers above are lawful today. For betting sites in Ireland, the licence test is what changed: a GRAI remote betting licence is the only Irish licence that counts.

How to Choose a Betting Site in Ireland
Before you sign up anywhere, run five checks. The best betting sites in Ireland for a racing fan are not the best for an acca player.
Start with the licence. Before you bet online, check the GRAI register, searching the operator’s legal name from the footer. A GRAI remote betting licence means there’s an Irish regulator you can complain to. For online betting, match the licence number in the footer against the regulator that issued it.
After that, look at the sports on offer. Racing fans will want Puntit or DiceSpin, since the rest of the list has no proper horse racing. For bet builders, Festival Play or RoyalistPlay work on football, basketball and American football, while Puntit’s Bet Builder+ links bet builders across matches. Live betting is available at every site on the list.
Next, price the book. The margin is the real cost of sports betting, and on identical fixtures it ran from 6.87% to 8.70% here, so the same treble paid 4.8% more at the best book than the worst. Competitive odds beat a bigger welcome, a free bet or enhanced odds on one market, so compare prices at two online bookmakers first.
After that, test the cashier: deposit a little, bet, withdraw the rest. The payout desk tells you more about bookmakers online than any free bet does.
Finally, check for responsible gambling tools. Deposit limits, loss limits, reality checks and self-exclusion are common at licensed betting platforms, but Festival Play and RoyalistPlay offer no self-service limits. The best betting sites for you provide the tools you need.
How to Sign Up at an Irish Betting Site
All the online betting sites on the list use the same six-step sign up.
- Pick a site and read its review above.
- Sign up with your name, address, date of birth, email and mobile number; you must be 18 or over. Sign up took under 50 seconds at RoyalistPlay and about 4 minutes at Fanobet.
- Verify your identity with photo ID and proof of address. Most books on my list ask for ID at the first withdrawal, though Festival Play asked me at sign up. My documents cleared in 24 to 36 hours.
- Make your first deposit. Debit card, Revolut, e-wallet, bank transfer or crypto, with minimums from €10 to €25. Never a credit card.
- Claim the betting site offer before you deposit: FESTIVAL500 at Festival Play, WELCOME100 at RoyalistPlay, the My Bonuses switch at Inky.bet, Fanobet and TipTop, or Puntit’s opt-in button. DiceSpin credit their free bet after you email loyalty@dicespin.com.
- Place your first bet. Add a selection to the bet slip and check the min odds on qualifying bets, because an initial bet under the floor does not count. Set deposit limits first. Mobile betting works the same way in the browser.
Payment Methods at Irish Betting Sites
The best Irish betting sites accept a wide range of payment methods, and I test the cashier at every book. Between them these books take debit cards including Mastercard, Revolut, e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, bank transfer and crypto, and your deposit method usually has to carry the withdrawal too.
Most books set minimum deposits at €20, while Festival Play and RoyalistPlay welcomes need €10 and TipTop’s bonus requires €25. For minimum withdrawals, Inky.bet, Fanobet and TipTop ask for €40, DiceSpin €50 and Betibet €20 via MiFinity. Debit Cards
A Visa or Mastercard debit card is the simplest way to fund an account at Irish betting sites. Deposits land straight away, and withdrawals go back to the same card, usually within a day or two once your ID has cleared. Cards also make your betting spend easy to track on a bank statement.
Credit cards are banned for gambling in Ireland under section 165 of the Act, so only use a debit card. Inky.bet, Fanobet and TipTop pay back to cards up to €2,000 per withdrawal, and my Inky.bet card payout took 19 hours.
PayPal
PayPal is the e-wallet most Irish bettors already have, and it keeps your card details away from the bookmaker. PayPal only works with betting brands it approves, which is why it turns up at the big household betting platforms rather than at smaller online betting sites. It doesn’t feature at any book on my list, so if PayPal is essential, pick another method.
Skrill and Neteller
Skrill and Neteller are e-wallets owned by the same company, Paysafe. You load the wallet from your bank or card, deposit to the bookmaker from the wallet, and withdrawals come back to the wallet instead of your bank. That usually makes them faster than cards for getting paid, and your bank details never reach the betting site.
The catch is on the wallet side: moving money from Skrill or Neteller to your bank can carry a fee, so check the wallet’s own fee table first. Hiperwin pay out to Skrill from €20 to €2,000, and my e-wallet payout there cleared in 11h18m.
Revolut
Revolut works like a debit card at the cashier, but the app gives you more control. You can freeze the card instantly, get a notification for every deposit and switch on a built-in gambling block if you want a break.
I fund most of my sports betting tests with Revolut, and the money shows up straight away. Sign up with the name on your Revolut account, since payouts only go to a method verified as yours. TipTop, Fanobet and Hiperwin accept it, while Inky.bet takes it for deposits only.
Bank Transfer
A bank transfer moves money straight between your Irish bank account and the bookmaker, with no card or wallet in between. It suits larger withdrawals, but it is the slow option, so expect days rather than hours.
At Betibet, bank payouts of €200 to €1,000 take 3 to 5 days, while Hiperwin quotes 48 hours for €50 to €2,000. My TipTop payout by bank took 31 hours, against 18 hours by crypto.
Crypto
Crypto is usually the fastest way to get paid. Once a withdrawal is approved, coins often arrive within hours, and stablecoins such as USDT hold their value while they travel. With coins like Bitcoin the price can move between your bet and your payout, and a transfer sent to the wrong wallet address can’t be reversed.
Betibet paid me in USDT in 12h50m and Fanobet in 14h30m. Betibet offer instant withdrawals on eight coins and TipTop list more than 30. The trade-offs are covered in my crypto betting sites guide.

How Withdrawals and Verification Work
Most online betting sites on my list request ID at the first withdrawal instead of at sign up. RoyalistPlay, though, want ID, a selfie and a bank statement or bill before any payout.
RoyalistPlay and Festival Play limit withdrawals to €5,000 per 7 days. They want deposits turned over 5 times at 1.60 or higher, and can charge up to 8% on a second withdrawal within 30 days.
Betting Apps in Ireland
Of the best betting sites on the list, only Puntit has a native app, for iPhone on the Irish App Store. Mobile betting at the rest runs in the browser, with installable web apps at Fanobet, Inky.bet and TipTop. Household Irish Bookmakers Compared
The household Irish bookmakers hold the only licence that counts in Ireland. bet365, Betway, BoyleSports, Ladbrokes, William Hill, BetVictor, Paddy Power and LiveScore Bet were all on the GRAI register at my 28 September 2026 check. None of the online bookmakers on my list was, and Revenue remote licences ended on 30 June 2026.
My list earns its place on competitive odds, payouts and market depth, so treat the household names as context for Irish bettors, not picks.
bet365 leads on streaming and a betting market count few sports betting operators match, but its prices trailed my sharpest book. BoyleSports covers the full racing calendar, which most books on my list cannot, having no real horse racing.
Between the other Irish bookmakers, Paddy Power runs the largest shop network, though William Hill and Ladbrokes fell behind my sharper prices.

Which Irish Bookies Share an Owner
A number of Irish bookmakers have the same parent company. Flutter owns Paddy Power, Betfair and Sky Bet. Ladbrokes, Coral, bwin and Sportingbet belong to Entain. BetVictor and talkSPORT BET both fall under BV Gaming. The Quinn brands all operate on one QuinnBet licence.
One parent usually means one trading desk, so two accounts are one book with two logos. Online betting sites on my list do it too. Festival Play and RoyalistPlay priced every football fixture identically on 28 July, Inky.bet, Fanobet and TipTop share a platform, and DiceSpin shares an operator and Kahnawake licence 01014 with a brand I have listed before.

No other guide to Irish betting sites publishes this. At the bookmakers online I rank, I price what decides value in each betting market, not what online sports betting operators claim, and I date every figure.

Margin is the bookmaker’s cut built into every fixed odds price, and it is the quietest cost in sports betting. On 28 July 2026, across three identical UCL qualifiers, Festival Play and RoyalistPlay were sharpest at 6.87% and TipTop and Hiperwin widest at 8.70%, a 1.8 point gap on every bet.
My Premier League run in October had Inky.bet and Fanobet at 7.95%, with Betibet at 8.10%. Any single price can be converted with the implied probability calculator.
Qualifier margins are wider than they are for marquee football, so those runs can’t be compared. In the next run, every sports betting site on the list goes into a single basket.

Bet Builder Fair Value
Bet builders and trebles pay differently in every betting market, even at the best betting sites. My July treble of Dinamo Zagreb, Hearts and Shamrock Rovers paid 4.35 at Festival Play and RoyalistPlay and 4.15 at TipTop and Hiperwin, a 4.8% gap.
A October Premier League treble paid 4.28 at Betibet and 4.20 at Inky.bet and Fanobet. The best odds on one slip are rarely the best odds on the next, so price it twice.

Licensing and Player Safety in Ireland
Online betting in Ireland falls under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024. Since 1 July 2026, the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland, the GRAI, has licensed remote bookmakers. That licence means Irish bettors have somebody who can make a book act.
Is Online Betting Legal in Ireland?
Yes. The Betting (Amendment) Act 2015, the betting act that brought remote bookmakers under Revenue licences, was replaced by the 2024 Act and a single regulator, set up on 5 March 2025.
You must be 18, and licensed operators have been banned from accepting credit cards since 5 February 2026, so use a debit card, bank transfer or e-wallet.
The GRAI Remote Betting Licence
A GRAI remote betting licence has been mandatory for taking remote bets from Ireland since 1 July 2026. That is because the old Revenue remote licences ran out on 30 June 2026.
The register I pulled on 28 September 2026 listed 36 consumer-facing licences, and 32 of those were for remote betting.
A licensee must verify your age and identity, refuse credit cards and let you set deposit limits under section 164. The National Gambling Exclusion Register has not commenced yet. The GRAI can fine a licensee up to €20m or 10% of turnover, whichever is greater.
Do You Pay Tax on Betting Winnings in Ireland?
Not capital gains tax. Betting winnings are exempt under Section 613 of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997, and instead Ireland taxes the bookmaker, at 2% of stakes. I have found no official Revenue statement that winnings sit outside income tax, so if you bet as a trade, ask an accountant.
To verify a bookmaker, look up the operator’s legal name on the GRAI licence register, not the brand. A listing on the Revenue register indicates a licence that expired on 30 June 2026.
The Curacao and Kahnawake lists can be searched, Tobique and Anjouan display just a seal, and two books publish no licence number at all.

Trust here is scored, not asserted. Recourse is worth 40 of 100 points, with payouts, account tools and complaints making up the rest. Festival Play leads at 61, which says more about the list than about Festival Play.
A GRAI licence would earn full marks for recourse. Next come Curacao, Kahnawake and Tobique, each with a published number or a list you can search, then Anjouan with a seal alone. Inky.bet and Fanobet show no licence at all and score zero.
TipTop’s 75 was based on a Revenue entry that belongs to a different company, while Hiperwin’s 64 came from a Curacao licence that Anjouan took over in December 2024.
