The last couple of laps of the men’s 1500m at the 1974 Commonwealth Games held in Christchurch New Zealand. This has to be one of the greatest 1500 metre races of all time. Filbert Bayi of Tanzania raced to the front and took it to the rest of the field. He held on to win in a time of 3:32.2 – a new world record by almost a full second. Local boy John Walker was happy with his second place, also beating the previous world record.

New Zealand Extreme Sport of Zorbing
October 20th, 2009 · No Comments · Unusual
Another unusual extreme sport from New Zealand, Zorb Ball Extreme Sport (Zorbing) is taking a little while to catch on, but looks like a lot of fun. I dont really know if it is a sport if you just roll down a hill in a ball. Is it a race to the bottom?
