Women's Soccer World Cup USA 2003

The 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup was held in the USA. The tournament was moved to the United States after the SARS epidemic hit China. The United States Soccer Federation had only four months to put together a successful event. As compensation, China retained its automatic qualification to the 2003 tournament as host nation and received the hosting rights to the FIFA Women's World Cup 2007.
