What are the Most Popular Martial Arts?

There are literally hundreds of different martial arts style, some more popular than others. We created a list of nearly 50 martial arts sports using Google search, then analyzed the traffic to the information page on Wikipedia for each of these. We ranked the martial arts based on the average number of page views over a four year period (Jan 2016 - Jan 2020).



Average Pageviews for Wikipedia Articles about Martial Arts

The relatively unknown martial art of Krav Maga came out as the most searched martial art on Wikipedia. The Olympic sport of Taekwondo was next, followed by Boxing.
