World's Shortest Cricketers

Successful cricketers come in all shapes and sizes, though certain physical attributes can play a part in their performance. The shortest players tend to be batters, while tall players lean towards fast bowling, as the extra height helps the players generate more pace and bounce.

Being short can also be an advantage, the lower center of gravity of shorter players may result in better balance and agility, a clear advantage while batting and fielding. Some of cricket's greatest batsmen have been short in stature. For example, Sunil Gavaskar is just 5'2", David Boon was 5'3", Sachin Tendulkar is 5'5'', and even the great Don Bradman was relatively short at 5'8" tall.
