The women's football team from Australia has participated at the FIFA Women's World Cup eight times (including 2023). Only at the inaugural event in 1991 did they fail to qualify. Australia made their debut in 1995. Up until 2023, their best performance was making the quarter finals in 2007 and 2011. The 2023 tournament was their best yet, the host nation finishing fourth.
