Chocolate is good for you, true or false?
THIS IS mostly FALSE
- There is a plethora of information about the positive health effects of eating chocolate, with not all of it correct or proven. If you are reading such information, make sure it is not being made by a chocoholic wanting to justify their chocolate heating habit, or someone trying to sell you chocolate.
- There is good evidence to suggest that dark chocolate, but not white chocolate or milk chocolate, is good for you, as dark chocolate contains antioxidants. Antioxidants help remove free radicals, which are destructive molecules in the body that are implicated in heart disease and other ailments.
- Chocolate has a high energy density, meaning it can increase your body fat levels if you eat too much.
