Japan at the Women's World Cup

The women's football team from Japan has participated at every FIFA Women's World Cup (including 2023). Japan made their debut in 1991 and have played in every tournament since.

Their best performance has been winning the tournament in 2011. They were also runners-up in 2015.

In 2011, Japan became the first Asian team to win a FIFA World Cup (either men and women).
