2023 Rugby World Cup

The 2023 Rugby World Cup, the 10th to be held, will be contested in France. The selection of France was a surprise announcement, after an independent evaluation had recommended South Africa be nominated as hosts. France have previously hosted the event in 1991 and 2007.

The top three teams in each pool at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan will qualify automatically for the 2023 World Cup in France.

The event will be held from Fri, 8 Sep 2023 – Sat, 21 Oct 2023.
