South Africa at the T20 World Cup

South Africa have played at all the T20 World Cup tournaments, since the first in 2007. Up until 2024, their best result was reaching the semi-final in 2009 and 2014.

At the 2024 tournament in the West Indies and the USA, the Proteas reached the final for the first time, winning all eight games to get there. Unfortunately they went down to an equally in-form India in the thrilling match.

South Africa hosted the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007.
