India have played at all editions of the T20 World Cup. The have won the latest edition in 2024. India also won the first in 2007.
India hosted the T20 World Cup in 2016, and are due to co-host the event in 2026 with Sri Lanka.

- Rohit Sharma has played in all editions on the T20 World Cup since the first in 2007. Only one other payer has done the same, Shakib Al Hasan from Bangladesh.
