Participating Countries at the World Cup

Here are all the countries that qualified for South Africa 2010, and also information about many of the other countries that have participated in the World Cup at some time previously.

Of the teams that qualified for the 2010 finals, the following teams failed to qualify for this tournament: North Korea, South Africa, New Zealand, Paraguay, Denmark, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

The qualifying teams that did not play in the last World Cup are: Russia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Iran.

The only team to make its debut in Brazil 2014 will be Bosnia and Herzegovina.
