The World Friendship Games (WFG) is an international multi-sport event held as an alternative to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The event is planned be held in Russia from 15 to 29 September, 2024. It will be held shortly after the Summer Olympics in Paris. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the Luzhniki Stadium.

The World Friendship Games 2024 have been organized in response to the exclusion of many Russian teams and events from elite international sport.

Sports

The sports program will include over 30 sports, both Olympic and non-Olympic. Most of the events will be held in Moscow, a few in Yekaterinburg.

Trivia

• The athletes at the World Friendship Games will win cash prizes in addition to winning medals.
• The games mascot is a tiger and the Games logo depicts two white hands clasped across a globe
