The new sport of Ballkenche was created by Shripad Krishnarao Vaidya of Nagpur city in Maharashtra state of India, in the month of March 2019. Players attempt to throw rubber balls into holes in the ground.
Equipment Required: Three rubber balls, Notebook, Pen, Marking material, measuring tape etc.
In this sport the ground should be plain (no undulation) enough to roll the rubber balls. The square of 5 ft. by 5 ft. is marked on the ground. Two holes will be made in the ground approximately in the middle portion of this square. These two holes will be one foot apart from each other. These holes should be of such size, that single ball can easily enter in the hole (if rolled over it). These holes will not be too dip nor too wide. The player will stand 20 feet apart from this square. This distance (the distance between the square and player) may be increased or decreased as per the skill developed by the sportsmen.
One of the sportsmen will stand on the line which is marked 20 feet apart. He will have three balls with him. He will throw one ball so as to reach in the square. The ball will reach in the square. Neither point nor another chance will get if both the ball does not reach in the square. He will get one point if ball reaches in the square. He will get two points if ball enters in the hole. In the same way second ball has to be thrown so as to reach in the square. The points will be added in the same way. The throw for second ball will also get the same points.
If one ball enters in one hole and another ball enters in another hole then the player will get total 4 points with additional chance to play. If one ball enters in the hole and another ball remain outside then he will have to hit / strike that ball with the help third ball by remain standing on the line itself. If he becomes successful in striking the ball (in the square and outside the hole) he will get 4 points with additional chance to play. If he becomes unsuccessful then he will get two points and will get additional chance to play. If both the balls went in the same hole or remain touching with each other then the player will have to break contact in between these two balls by striking third ball. If he becomes successful he will get another chance but no points and if he becomes unsuccessful then his score will reduce by 4points (score may be in minus or plus). If both the balls remain on the surface then opponent will choose any one ball and player has to hit /strike that ball. If he became successful then he will get 2 points but will not get additional bonus chance to play. Means bonus chances will get only when one or two balls will enter in two separate holes and both the balls are in square. Two balls in one hole do not give bonus additional chance. If one ball enters in the hole but another ball do not enters in the square then bonus additional chance will not get. If only one ball enters in the square then player has to hit / strike that ball with third striker ball to earn 2 points. If striker ball (all balls have same size) enters in the hole (or remain in touch with the ball in the hole) then 4 points will be deducted.
Before starting the play both the players has to fix number of rounds/chances (excluding bonus chance which player earn while playing) to be given to each player. Total points will be added by using the rules of mathematics because some times minus points are also there. If numbers of players are more than two then two players will play and winner will play with another winner player. In this way final winner will be selected by playing number of rounds.
