There were 28 sports at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016 (2 more than in 2012) - what was your least favorite? The results of this poll have been archived as there have been changes to the Olympic sports list, with an additional five sports added for 2020. Out of a total of 2,031 votes, the least favorite sport was the newly reintroduced sport of golf with 18% of the votes, only slightly above equestrian (the least favorite from 2012). Interestingly, and surprisingly, equestrian topped the voting of favorite sports in 2016, following a social media campaign by equestrian supporters.
