Weight Watchers Diet

The best thing about the Weight Watchers Diet is that you can eat whatever you want. There are no off-limit foods.

The Weight Watchers Program launched in November 2010. Many studies have shown that once you’re on this diet, pounds tend to stay off.  The PointsPlus plan promises to lose 1-2 pounds weekly.  This is personalized to your body like your height, weight, gender and age.  Foods are given points value based on its carbohydrate, fat, protein, calories and fiber.

Dense foods (like vegetables and fruits) that keep you full for a long duration will cost points the least.
You will gain points on more than 40,000 foods on the Weight Watchers’ site. Processed foods, for instance, has the highest point values (should be consumed less often and smaller amounts). Healthy foods like fruit and vegetables have zero points (should be eaten as much as you want).

Simple Start is a 2-week starter program that has around 40 meal ideas, tips when eating out, photos of recommended portion sizes, motivational support and snack, drink and dessert ideas.
By following the diet online, you can

Weight Watchers promote a healthy cardiovascular system, but there is no evidence that it can prevent diseases like diabetes.

Hunger is not a problem with this diet because Weight Watchers emphasize on fiber-packed Power Foods which will keep you feeling fuller longer.

You will have extra 49 points on top of your individualized target. It’s important to indulge yourself from time to time, but with moderation.

The program will help you control portions and modify your favorite recipes so you’ll have healthier meals.
Weight Watchers also hold group meetings in person. It’s where you will weigh in and people will support you and they will they will weigh in and you support them as well.

The monthly unlimited in-person meetings with free access to eTools costs $39.95. Paying as you go costs around $12 to $15 per week with a one-time registration fee of $20. If you just want to follow from their website, their 3-month plan costs $65.  These costs don’t consist of food yet.

There are reports that attending these group meetings have been satisfied with the Weight Watchers program and have lost more weight than those who uses online tools.
