The Allianz-Arena stadium is located in Munich. This football only ground is the new home of the football team Bayern Munich, built at a cost of $440 million and inaugurated in May 2005. The capacity of the ground is 59,416 and the population of the city 1.3 million.
The futuristic outer shell of the stadium is made up of 2,816 interlocking cushions, each with colored lights inside which can create a myriad of effects. This stadium was one of the 12 stadiums of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
