• The 20 teams participating in the 2003 World Cup were Argentina, Canada, the United States of America, Uruguay, Namibia, South Africa, Japan, Australia, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, New Zealand , England, France , Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Scotland and Wales
• The final was played at Telstra Stadium, Sydney, which was won by England, beating Australia 20-17.
