2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town
The 2023 Netball World Cup was held in Cape Town, South Africa. It was the 16th staging of the championships, and the first time South Africa has hosted the event. As always, Australia and New Zealand will go into the tournament as favorites. All matches for the event were held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
Australia played England in the final, Australia becoming victors with a 61-45 win, winning their 12th title out of the 16 tournaments so far.]. England had defeated Australia in their group game, but were unable to replicate that feat. Jamaica finished 3rd, and New Zealand 4th, the lowest placing ever at the World Cup for New Zealand.
