2022 Hangzhou Asian Games

The 2022 Asian Games was the 19th event held. It was planned be held from September 2022, but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic it was postponed until 2023. The event was held from 23 September to 8 October 2023.

Hangzhou was the third Chinese city to host the Asian Games, after Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010.

Sports in Hangzhou

The Games featured 40 sports, including the 28 "core" Olympic sports that will be contested at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, as well as events in other non-Olympic sports.

eSports (a demonstration event in 2018) was made a medal event at the 2022 Asian Games. Breaking also made its debut on the sporting program. See all sports.
