Cycling is one of the mainstay Commonwealth Games sports, it has been on the program for every Commonwealth Games since 1934.
The mountain bike discipline was added in 2002, and BMX was expected to make its debut in 2026. However, the reduced down program for the 2026 Commonwealth Games see only track cycling of the cycling disciplines.

Cycling at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games
At the Glasgow Games in 2026, there will be 26 medal cycling events in total across Para and non-Para disciplines. All events will be held at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
The Para Track Cycling line-up has doubled in size from Birmingham 2022, with eight medals available, including the C1-C3 (men) and C4-C5 (women) Time Trials and Individual Pursuits for the first time.
