Here are the top earning Australian sports people for the year 1998, as published by the Business Review Weekly (BRW) magazine. Just the top 10 of their "Top 50 Sports Earners" list is shown. The list is compiled by BRW journalists and includes gross wages, prize money, sponsorships and endorsements. Golfer Greg Norman has top spot again, as he did on the first list in 1997. Golf continues to be the sport to play if you want to earn big bucks - in addition to Greg Norman in first place, there were another 10 golfers in the top 50, including the top placed female Karrie Webb at number 8.
