Veltins-Arena Stadium

World Cup StadiumThe Veltins-Arena stadium is located in Gelsenkirchen. The stadium was inaugurated in 2004 after a $300 million reconstruction. The capacity of the ground is 48,426 and the population of the city 278,000. This stadium was one of the 12 stadiums of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The 2004 Champions League final was also played here.
