Fiji at the Winter Olympics

Fiji has participated three time at the Winter Olympic Games; in 1988, 1994 and 1998.

Rusiate Rogoyawa earned the distinction as the first athlete from his nation to compete at the Winter Games. Rogoyawa was entered in the 15-km C event in cross-country skiing competition and finished at 83rd place.

Although the nation is still basking on its gold medal effort in rugby sevens at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympic Games, the nation hasn’t won a medal yet at the Winter Games. The gold medal won by the nation at the Summer Games in 2016 is its first-ever medal at the Olympic Games.
