The 2022 Tour de France was the 109th event held. It was held from Friday, 1 July 2022 to Sunday 24 July 2022.
The Grand Départ for the 2021 Tour de France was originally planned for the Danish capital of Copenhagen, but was transferred to Brittany due the coronavirus pandemic. The Grand Départ was held in Denmark in 2022, the first time the Tour de France had visited Denmark.
The winner of the general classification was Denmark's Jonas Vingegaard, riding for Team Jumbo–Visma. He also won the mountains classification. Another rider from Team Jumbo–Visma won the green points jersey, Wout van Aert (BEL) from Belgium. The team classification was won by Ineos Grenadiers.
