The 2020 Tour de France was the 107th event held. The race was originally scheduled to start on 27 June 2020, but like many sporting events in 2020, it was postponed until 29 August 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The start of the 2020 Tour, the Grand Départ, was from Nice, France. This was the second time that the city has held the Grand Départ, the first for the 1981 Tour.
The winner of the general classification of the 2020 Tour de France was Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar, competing for the UAE Team Emirates. Second was Primož Roglič also of Slovenia, though riding for Team Jumbo–Visma. Third was Australian Richie Porte for Trek–Segafredo team.
Overall winner Tadej Pogačar also won the mountains and young rider classifications.
