2026 Championship
The 2026 final was the first all-Czech Grand Slam singles final of the professional era, with ninth seed Linda Nosková defeating Karolína Muchová 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 to claim her first Grand Slam title. The 21-year-old took a commanding opening set, then regrouped after failing to convert five match points in the second to close out the decider. Nosková became the third Czech woman to win the Wimbledon ladies' singles title in four years, following Markéta Vondroušová (2023) and Barbora Krejčíková (2024).
Historic Achievement
The 2025 final saw Iga Świątek defeat Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0, producing one of the most dominant performances in Grand Slam history. This was only the third "double bagel" in a Grand Slam singles final, following the 1911 Wimbledon final (Dorothea Chambers d. Dora Boothby) and the 1988 French Open final (Steffi Graf d. Natasha Zvereva). With this victory, Świątek became the first Polish woman to win the Wimbledon singles title and claimed her sixth Grand Slam overall. She is the third Polish player to reach a Wimbledon singles final after Jadwiga Jędrzejowska (1937) and Agnieszka Radwańska (2012).
