North Borneo at the Olympics

North Borneo competed at the Olympic Games only once, in 1956, and with only two athletes to represent them. These two athletes are Gabuh Piging and Sium Bin Diau who both participated in the men's triple jump and both were not able to advance to the finals.

North Borneo were absent from the 1960 Summer Games and from 1964 onwards, after the formation of the Federation of Malaysia in 1963, athletes from this region competed as part of the nation of Malaysia.

North Borneo has never won any Olympic medal nor have they ever participated in the Winter Olympics. They also never established their very own national Olympic committee.
