The 3rd European Games were held in Kraków, Poland, along with events also in the Małopolska region. The Games were held between June 21st to July 2nd, 2023.

- Kraków, Poland was the only city to put in a bid to host the games.
- As a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the IOC decided to not invite athletes from Russia and Belarus.
