Betibet Review 2026: Gaelic Football Yes, GRAI Licence No

International books taking Irish money often skip the GAA, so the first thing I checked on Betibet was whether Gaelic football was on the board. It was. I registered on 8 September 2026, put €30 in by Skrill and spent two weeks switching between Gaelic football and the Champions League, then pulled money out by bank transfer. This Betibet review covers that fortnight: a sportsbook with real depth and decent safety tools, let down by a support team that couldn’t answer me and by the missing GRAI licence for Betibet in Ireland.

  • Irish law changed on 1 July 2026: an online bookmaker taking bets from people here now needs a remote betting licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI). Everything below comes from my own funded account over two weeks, checked against Betibet’s published terms, which can change without notice.

Betibet Sportsbook: What Irish Punters Can Bet On

For two weeks my slips were mostly Gaelic football and Champions League, with some eSports on quiet evenings. The board runs deep in places and is missing a piece or two in others.

1.

Betibet Live Betting and In-Play

Evenings were where in-play earned its keep. At one point I counted more than 100 live events, each with the running score and match stats beside the prices, so there’s no flicking to another app to see who’s on top. Accas and system bets work in-play as well as singles. Switching on Quick bets turns one tap on a price into a placed bet, which is handy but easy to mis-tap, so keep your default stake sensible.

2.

Sports, Leagues and GAA Coverage

I started with the GAA, because that’s where offshore books usually fall down, and Betibet had Gaelic football markets up for my whole fortnight. Beyond that, 39 of the 91 sports in its catalogue had events on when I looked: 23 mainstream and 16 eSports. The eSports list is serious, covering CS2, Dota 2, Valorant and League of Legends. Darts and snooker are there too, and the homepage leads with the Champions League, Premier League, Nations League and NBA. If you’re new to betting on the county game, our Gaelic football betting guide walks through the markets.

3.

Markets and Bet Types

Thirty-odd markets was the floor on nearly everything I opened. The marquee football fixtures ran past 600, from match result and double chance through to goalscorers, corners, bookings and player bets. What I never found was a minimum stake. The terms don’t mention one and live chat drew a blank. The only figure I’ve seen is €1, from an outside review, and I couldn’t confirm it.

4.

Is There a Bet Builder?

No. Betibet’s terms rule out combining markets from the same match, so a result-plus-scorer idea on one fixture has to go on as two separate singles. The slip does handle singles, accas and system bets, which suited the way I bet, but anyone who lives on same-game bets will feel the gap.

5.

Odds, Boosts and Pricing

Prices load in fractions by default, a small touch that makes the board feel built for people raised on racing prices. I worked out the margin on the Belgium v France 1X2 at about 5.7%, which is middle of the road rather than sharp. There’s no boosted-prices tab. The extra value sits on accas instead, with sport-specific comboboosts of up to 70% and the general BetiBoost at up to 50%.

6.

Cash Out at Betibet

It’s there on some markets but not all, so make sure your selection shows the option before you commit. One thing to know if you take the welcome offer: a cashed-out bet doesn’t count towards the Hunting Bonus, which quietly penalises the habit of banking a winner early.

7.

Watching Matches: Live Streaming

Streams exist, but you’ll have to hunt for them. When I checked, 14 of the 69 live matches listed had video, and the Only with video filter in In-Play cuts the list down to those. Coverage is patchy, but it beats having nothing.

8.

The Betibet Casino Side

Step across from the sportsbook and you’ll find more than 16,000 games from over 140 providers. That covers slots, live tables, crash games, jackpots and a house slot called Book of Betibet. The 100% up to €1,000 plus 300 free spins deal on the sign-up pop-up belongs to this side and carries 35x wagering. No operator holds an Irish online casino licence yet, because the GRAI hasn’t opened that phase of licensing. Our round-up of the best online casinos in Ireland will track it when it does.

Betibet Free Bets and Welcome Bonus in Ireland

Don’t judge the sports offer by the sign-up pop-up, because that €1,000 plus 300 free spins is the casino deal. The sportsbook welcome is the Hunting Bonus of 100% up to €1,500, topped up with an OnlyWin free bet worth 10% of your first deposit, capped at €100. On your second deposit you get a reload free bet of up to €200 and a 25% AllBoost for accas.

The name fits, because you chase this bonus rather than receive it. Every settled bet at 1.30 (3/10) or longer feeds a running total, and when that total reaches your average stake it pays out a free bet of the same size. Winning or losing makes no difference to the total. So if you usually bet €10, you earn €10 free bets one step at a time rather than landing a €1,500 lump. The clock runs for 30 days from the moment you claim it.

The free bets come with two strings attached. They pay winnings only, and they’re limited to odds from 1.01 to 2.00 (evens), so a €10 free bet on an evens shot gives you €10 back at best. Each one also expires five days after it lands. On a €30 first deposit like mine, the OnlyWin part works out at €3. I’d call the whole package a loyalty rebate with a big number printed on the front.

The bonus is handled in the cashier, not on the sign-up form. Under Available Bonuses there’s a Use bonuses switch, and I’d check which way it’s set before hitting deposit. The registration form has an Add promocode link, but I didn’t find a code for the sports offer in the terms, so the Promo page is the place to confirm what’s running. Both welcome campaigns are due to end on 1 January 2027.

More Betibet Promotional Offers for Irish Punters

Once the welcome pack is used up, the Promo page leans heavily on acca boosts and crypto deals. Few of these are straight cash, so read the wagering line before anything else. For the wider picture, our guide to betting bonuses in Ireland compares what other books are offering. Here’s what was live during my fortnight:

  • Daily cashback – 10% to 20% every day, scaled by how much you deposit and your VIP level, with 3x wagering attached.
  • Sport comboboosts – BetiSoccerBoost, BetiTennisBoost, BetiBasketBoost and BetiCyberBoost each add up to 70% to an acca, and the general BetiBoost adds up to 50%.
  • AllBoost – a one-off 25% on accas of four or more legs at 1.40 (2/5) or longer, usable three times after your second deposit.
  • Crypto bonus – 200% up to 3,000 USDT for players depositing in crypto.
  • Referral system – €5 for each friend who signs up and deposits €50, which is small beer.
BetiSoccerBoost is the one I'd actually use, but every extra leg that grows the boost also makes the acca harder to land.

Betibet Acca Boosts, Cashback and VIP Rewards

If I could keep only one promotion, it would be BetiSoccerBoost. Up to 70% on top of a football acca is a proper incentive for anyone who already builds one every weekend. The maths cuts both ways, though: the legs that grow the boost also shrink your chance of landing the bet.

The VIP programme has five levels, and you climb them by depositing, at one point per €1. At the top end, VIP Bets let you request a stake of up to €1,000,000, and the risk team replies within 15 minutes. Rewards tied to how much you deposit are the kind of VIP incentive the 2024 Act restricts for GRAI licensees, which is worth bearing in mind when you compare this with a licensed Irish book.

Betibet does have a licence, just not one that counts here. The book is licensed by the Tobique Gaming Commission (e-gaming licence No. 0000002) and run by Novatrix SRL, a company registered in Costa Rica. Its Paysafe transactions are handled by Tronabriz Limited.

Since 1 July 2026, that arrangement isn’t enough in Ireland. Under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, any online bookmaker serving people here needs a remote betting licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland. The GRAI is now the single regulator, replacing a system built on the Betting Act 1931 and the Totalisator Act 1929. Its licence also replaced the old Revenue remote bookmaker licence.

I searched the GRAI’s register of licensees under both names and found neither Betibet nor Novatrix SRL. The GRAI can fine an operator up to €20 million or 10% of turnover, whichever is higher, so the risk of trading here without a licence sits squarely with Betibet.

It isn’t a risk you carry as a punter. The Act places the licensing duty on the bookmaker, and joining from Ireland needed no workaround: Ireland and +353 were preset, and EUR was on the currency list. The cost to you is less obvious. If a withdrawal stalls or your account is closed, your only outside route is EGIS, an independent dispute resolution body, not an Irish regulator. Even at a licensed book the GRAI doesn’t rule on individual disputes, but it does oversee the complaints process each licensee must run.

A GRAI licence would oblige Betibet to do things it currently doesn’t have to. A licensee can’t take credit cards or offer credit for gambling. It must also provide deposit limit tools, keep customer money in segregated accounts and keep its ads off TV and radio between 5.30am and 9pm. Online casino sits outside all of this for now, because the GRAI hasn’t opened casino licensing.

The biggest protection still to come is the National Gambling Exclusion Register. Once it’s running, you’ll be able to add your details and be shut out of every GRAI-licensed site at once. A licensed operator will have to take reasonable steps to stop anyone on the register from gambling during their exclusion. Betibet will sit outside the register entirely.

All gambling in Ireland is for over-18s only. If you’d rather stay with licensed books, start with our best Irish bookmakers or browse the full set of bookmaker reviews.

Tax is simpler. Irish punters keep their betting winnings tax-free, because the bookmaker pays betting duty on turnover instead, which is historically why some books took a cut of winnings. Betibet didn’t charge me a cent in fees on my deposit or my withdrawal. The Revenue website has the details.

Not tax advice – an accountant can help if your situation is out of the ordinary.

Betibet Login and Sign-Up: Joining from Ireland

The quickest route is the Google button under the form. Using my Gmail, the whole thing took me about a minute. If you’d rather type it out, the first screen is short: email, password, currency, country and an optional promo code.

The second screen is where the form-filling starts, though Betibet saves you a little. Ireland is preselected and the phone field already carries +353. You add your name, date of birth, city, address, postal code, number and gender, then confirm you’re 18 and accept the privacy policy. The marketing box is an opt-out: you tick “I don’t want to receive promos” to stay off the mailing list. From then on, your Betibet login is that email and password, or the same Google account.

My advice is to verify before you need to. I uploaded my documents minutes after registering, and the usual turnaround is about 24 hours, so by the time I wanted to withdraw there was nothing left to do. Betibet asks for ID (with a selfie option), proof of address and proof of payment. It may also phone you before a withdrawal, which is what the phone verification section on the Profile page is for.

  • Five fields and a Next button, or skip them with Google, which is how I was through in about a minute.
  • Handy that +353 is preset, less handy that you have to tick a box to opt out of promos rather than in.
  • Three uploads and a phone check – get them done on day one and your first withdrawal won't wait on KYC.

Betibet Payment Methods for Irish Punters

Betibet’s wallet is one of the widest I’ve come across. It has cards, bank transfer, Skrill, Neteller, MiFinity and Paysafecard, plus a column of crypto running from Bitcoin and Ethereum to Dogecoin and Ripple. I kept it simple, with Skrill in and bank transfer out, and neither leg cost me a fee. One warning for Irish punters: the Visa and Mastercard options carry no debit-only note. A GRAI licensee is barred from taking credit cards, but Betibet isn’t, so the discipline has to come from you. Use debit. If you’re weighing up e-wallets, our Skrill betting guide covers the pros and cons.

My cashier listed Skrill from €10 to €10,000, which isn't what the published terms say, so check yours on the day.

Betibet Betting App: Web App Only

The Install App banner across the top of the site is generous with the word “app”. What Betibet offers is a web app, a home-screen shortcut you add through Safari on iOS or Chrome on Android. Nothing is listed in the App Store or on Google Play.

Even so, Betibet mobile betting was one of the better parts of my two weeks. Home, Live, Bet Slip, Sports and Search are pinned along the bottom of the screen, so in-play on my phone was never more than a thumb away, and I didn’t miss the desktop site once.

Betibet Ireland Customer Support

Support is advertised around the clock through three channels. A FAQ page covers the simplest account questions:

  • Live chat – Betty Bot takes your name and email and offers menus for deposits, bonuses, verification, withdrawals, VIP and technical issues, then passes you to an agent.
  • Email – support@betibet.com, worth using when you want the answer in writing.
  • Contact form – on the site, for anything that isn’t urgent.

The hand-over itself is quick, and my agent arrived inside a minute. After that I waited more than ten minutes and still left without an answer on the minimum stake, and my other questions fared no better. That’s fierce frustrating when the FAQ barely goes beyond forgotten passwords and currency changes. By comparison, Inky.bet got back to me much faster.

Fine for a forgotten password, but nothing here came close to answering my question about the minimum stake.

Two Weeks on the Betibet Betting Site: My Verdict

What won me over early was finding Gaelic football on the board from day one, and that set the tone for the fortnight that started on 8 September 2026. Signing up through Gmail was a one-minute job, my documents went up the same day, and my €30 Skrill deposit was live in two minutes.

The betting held up. Nearly every fixture had 30-plus markets, the headline Champions League matches had hundreds, and prices came in fractions without me touching a setting. I set a deposit limit before placing anything, which was easy, but a limit that crypto deposits can skip is only half a safeguard.

The service around the betting is what needs work. Live chat found me a person quickly, then couldn’t tell me anything useful. My bank transfer took five days, the far end of Betibet’s own estimate. The Hunting Bonus looks huge but pays slowly, in free bets that return winnings only, and there’s no bet builder.

So would I use it? For Gaelic football and deep football markets, yes, happily. But support needs to know its own product, and Betibet is still taking Irish bets without a GRAI licence. With licensed books to choose from, that’s what decides it for me.

Betibet Bookmaker vs Licensed Irish Bookies

Before signing up anywhere, line Betibet up against the books that do hold a GRAI licence. Now that Irish betting has a regulator, that’s the only comparison that really matters.

Head to head, Betibet wins on the depth of its football markets, the size of its acca boosts and a Gaelic football board that plenty of offshore rivals don’t bother with. It loses on everything a regulator enforces: complaints handled under GRAI oversight, customer money kept separate, no credit cards and, once it launches, the national exclusion register. And when something goes wrong, its support takes longer to sort it out than the best licensed books.

Responsible Gambling

Credit where it’s due here. I set my own deposit limit in a couple of clicks before my first bet, with no email to support needed. There are also loss and wager limits for the casino, cooling-off from one week to six months, and self-exclusion for six months, nine months, a year or for good. Two-factor authentication through Google Authenticator or Authy and a session history round things off.

The weak spot is one I’d want fixed tomorrow. Deposit limits don’t cover crypto, so anyone trying to rein in their spending is one Bitcoin deposit away from getting around the limit they set. If you rely on limits, stick to cards, e-wallets and bank transfer. Set a budget for the week, treat it as gone the moment you deposit it, and walk away from a losing run instead of raising your stakes.

Betibet FAQs

Does Betibet have a GRAI licence?

No. Online bookmakers serving Irish customers have needed one since 1 July 2026, and Betibet isn’t on the GRAI register. You aren’t breaking the law by using it, but you lose the protections that come with a licensed Irish account.

Which licence does Betibet hold?

It holds e-gaming licence No. 0000002 from the Tobique Gaming Commission and is run by Novatrix SRL of Costa Rica. Disputes can go to EGIS, an independent ADR body, rather than to an Irish regulator.

Is there GAA betting at Betibet?

Gaelic football is on the board, and I bet on it throughout my two weeks. It sits alongside darts, snooker, a big eSports section and every major European football competition.

How does the Betibet Hunting Bonus work?

It’s worth 100% up to €1,500, paid out gradually as OnlyWin free bets. Settled bets at 1.30 or longer build towards each free bet, which matches your average stake, returns winnings only and must go on odds of 2.00 or shorter within five days.

Should I use a credit card at Betibet?

No. The cashier doesn’t say its Visa and Mastercard options are debit only, and a GRAI-licensed book couldn’t take a credit card at all. Stick to a debit card, Skrill or bank transfer.

How quickly can I withdraw from Betibet?

Crypto and MiFinity are instant, and bank transfer takes three to five days (mine took five). You need to pass KYC and wager your deposit once on sports first, and bank transfers need a minimum of €200.

Does Betibet have a mobile app?

Only a web app you add to your home screen through Safari or Chrome. There’s nothing in the App Store or on Google Play, but the mobile site was very good in my testing.

Are betting winnings taxed in Ireland?

No. Punters keep their winnings tax-free because bookmakers pay betting duty on turnover. For anything unusual, check with Revenue or an accountant.
