2014 SI International 20

Here are the top 10 of the Sports Illustrated Magazine's International 20 list for the year 2014, ranking the highest paid athletes from around the world. As with all International 20 lists, it only includes athletes from outside of the USA, sorted by total earnings (salary, winnings, endorsements and appearance fees).

Retired soccer player David Beckham has relinquish his number one spot, with fellow footballers Ronaldo and Messi moving up to take the first two positions. Messi has a higher salary of the two, but Ronaldo's combined income including endorsements is greater.

Female tennis player Maria Sharopova dropped out of the top 10, moving from 9th to 14th this year. The only other female on the top 20 list, Li Na, moved from 17th to 18th.
