Australia's Richest Sportsman for 2019

Here are the richest Australian sportspeople for the year 2019, as published by the Australian Financial Review's annual Sports Rich List. Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo topped the list, thanks to a 2-year $50 million contract with Formula 1 team Renault at the end of 2018.



Basketball players made up six of the top ten positions. Compare this to the Forbes highest paid athlete for 2019. Tennis player Ashleigh Barty was the only female in the top 10. Other females in the list of 30 were Minjee Lee at 24, and Stephanie Gilmore at 30.
