Bogut: Australia's Richest Sportsman for 2018

Here are the richest Australian sportspeople for the year 2018, as published by the Australian Financial Review. Every year it publishes the Young Rich List, which ranks the country's richest people under 40 years old. From that list we have been able to extract just the sports people and rank them. This list has been published since about 2003.



Basketball player Andrew Bogut topped the sports people on the list. Compare this to the Forbes highest paid athlete for 2018. Debutantes this year were Steve Smith and Daniel Ricciardo. There were no women on the list.

The Australian sporting names on the list includes Andrew Bogut, Adam Scott, Harry Kewell, Tim Cahill, Daniel Ricciardo, Jason Day, Chad Reed, Steve Smith and James Spithill.

The top 5 are:

Adam Scott – $77 million (33)
Harry Kewell – $58 million (48)
Jason Day – $49 million (53)
