Togo at the Winter Olympics

Togo finally made its presence at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia in 2014, where the nation fielded a couple of athletes that competed in alpine skiing and cross-country skiing.

Cross-country skier Mathilde-Amivi Petitjean finished 68th in the women’s 10-km classical event while alpine racer Alessia Afi Dipol finished 55th in the women's giant slalom but failed to finish in the women’s slalom.

Togo, which is also officially known as Togolese Republic, already won one medal at the Summer Olympics thanks to Benjamin Boukpeti who took the bronze medal in the men's slalom K-1 event in canoeing, but it is still aiming to win its first medal at the Winter Games.
