Azerbaijan at the Winter Olympics

The dissolution of the Soviet Union paved the way for the beginning of the Winter Olympic Games participation of Azerbaijan at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic Games and the country has never missed a single edition from then on. The country was part of the USSR Olympic team between 1952 and 1988.

The former Soviet republic has yet to win any medal at the Winter Games.

Azerbaijan has already sent 17 athletes at the Winter Gamers up until 2014, including the four athletes that competed in alpine skiing and figure skating at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
