Motor Racing Demonstration in 1900

Motor racing, with 16 different events, was an unofficial sport at the 1900 Olympics in Paris. In 1900, there was also a demonstration of water motorsport events and motorcycling.

The motor racing event entries were based on the vehicle manufacturers, rather than drivers. Consequently the names of some of the competitors were not reported.

Sixteen events were contested in conjunction with the 1900 World's Fair. The events were dominated by French cars, as they won all 16 events and had a clean sweep in 14 of them. Only the United States and Germany managed to scrape a bronze in two of the classes.

Although there was a motorcycle race as part of this competition, there were separate motorcycle races which were held as part of the cycling.
