Newfoundland at the Commonwealth Games

The region of Newfoundland is situated in northeastern North America along the Atlantic coast. The British 'Dominion' of Newfoundland sent a team to the British Empire Games in 1930 and 1934. Athletes from Newfoundland won no medals in the two appearances.

In 1949 Newfoundland became a province of Canada and its athletes have since been eligible to compete in the Commonwealth Games for Canada.
