IAAF World Indoor Championships

The IAAF World Indoor Championships is organized by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and held indoors at different locations around the world every two years.

The championships was first held in 1985 in Paris France, and called the World Indoor Games at the time. Two years later it was renamed the IAAF World Indoor Championships, then again in 2019 the name was changed to its current name: World Athletics Indoor Championships.

Current Events

Men and women compete in the same events, except for the multi-event.

60m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 60m hurdles, High jump, Pole vault, Long jump, Triple jump, Shot put, Heptathlon (men) or Pentathlon (women), 4 × 400m relay.
