The British Open

The British Open's official title is the Open Championship. However, it is referred to as the British Open to distinguish it from the US Open. The British Open is the oldest of the four Majors, dating back to the 1860s. The tournament is played in July each year.

2010 Open

The 2010 British Open will be the 139th. It will be held from Thursday 15th July to Sunday 18th July 2010, at The Old Course at St. Andrews.
