  • Barbados is the most easterly of the Caribbean islands, sitting south of St Lucia, east of St Vincent and the Grenadines and north of Trinidad and Tobago. See map of Barbados.

  • Barbados became a member of the Commonwealth in 1966

  • Barbados have attended all Commonwealth Games since 1954.

  • They have won many medals, across four sports: weightlifting, athletics, cycling and boxing - including gold in weightlifting (1958) and athletics (1998).
