The Fittest 50 Men (Sports Illustrated, 2020)

Who is the fittest male athlete in sports? The magazine Sports Illustrated (SI) put together a list of who they consider the current fittest athletes in sports in 2018 (the list was published in January 2020). Sports Illustrated have also created similar lists in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019.

With the help of a panel of experts recruited by SI, athletes were selected based on their performances over the previous 12 months; the factors they considered included the demands and risks of their respective sports; durability; training regimens; and other physical criteria including power, speed, strength, agility, endurance, flexibility and more.

This latest list of the fittest 50 only listed 25 men and 25 women, previously there were 50 of each. See the list of the Fittest 50 Women for 2020. See more about rating the World's Fittest Athletes.
