Here is the top 10 list of the highest earning sports people from 2002-2003, published in Forbes magazine Juloy 2003. Tiger Woods total earnings of 78 million just pips Michael Schumacher. Of the 78 million, his endorsements alone account for $70 million.
The highest ranked athlete in terms of sports salary was Michael Schumacher who was paid $35 million. For the females, the Williams sisters earned big bucks - Serena ($12 million) and Venus ($14 million).
