FellBoarding

FellBoarding is a hybrid sport of mountain/dirt boarding and fell running, created by James Whatham. All you need is a Mountain or Dirt board. A 10k course is drawn up over a fell or simillar hilly area consisting of a start line, 8 checkpoints and a finish line.

The participants carry a mountain board on their shoulders using straps similar to that of a backpack for the running sections of the course. There is no defined areas where you have to run or board however it makes sense to run up hill and board downhill. The winner is the first participant to cross the line.

note: this sport is potentially very dangerous and the participants should be responsible for their own safety and the maintaining of their equipment. The creator of this sport accepts no responsibility for any injury or any boards, pads or other equipment damaged in the undertaking of this sport.
