Docaboosh
The new sport of Docaboosh was created by Emily, Victoria and Brian from Rhode Island USA in July 2018. What began as a fun backyard game may be the worlds next most popular sport. With a stick and a ball, you've never had so much fun!
Equipment Required: wooden dowels, 15" playball
Sport Description
The game is meant to be played on grass, turf, or even an indoor rug with lots of room around. To begin the game, you must have an even amount of players (2,4,6...etc) each player starts the game with a wooden dowel, and each set of partners has a 15" playball found at your local sport store. The ball starts off in the center of the two players, and after a coin flip, one player may advance to the center to hit the ball a maximum of 5 times in order to get the ball off the ground. If u fail to get the ball bouncing, the ball goes to the opponent. Once the ball gets bouncing, you have to hit the ball with the end of the dowel and get the ball to your opponent, and so on.
Rules
- you earn a point when you hit the ball past your opponent, and you earn two points if the ball bounces off the ground, and then your opponent misses.
- You may bounce the ball on any part of the dowel as long as you hit it to your opponent using the end of the dowel.
- You may not hit the ball more that five times when the ball is stationary on the ground.
- You may not roll the ball along the playing field
