Cornhole, which is also known as bags, sack toss, or bean bag toss, involves tossing soft bags of corn kernels towards a raised angled board with a hole in the far end. Points are awards for landing on the board and for getting the bag in the hole. The sport is popular as a social sport in the USA, though there are some tournaments held.
The equipment required is two boards plus two sets of bags with four bags in each set. Each board is 2x4 feet, the 6-inch hole located 9 inches from the top. The boards are placed 33 feet (10 m) apart, but may be closer for younger players.
Games are played between teams of two to four players. Bags are tossed an area directly to the side of a platform.
Each bag that lands in the hole scores three points, while landing on the board scores one point. Play continues until a team or player reaches or exceeds 21 points.
